I have been taking my son to Blue Buoy since he was 1 and he is now 3. I was a little apprehensive at first, because I expected him to swim sooner, but I had unrealistic expectations. He is now swimming all over our pool without help. It is so amazing to feel the relief of having a pool safe child. The instructors are really nice and many of them know my sons name and greet him when we get there. It is a little expensive(about 95 dollars a month for a 20 min. semi private lesson), but you cant put a price tag on water safety. I would definitely recommend it and I will take my next child there too...

LOOOOVE it and so does my daughter! My daughter (age 2.5) has been going for just over a month. Went from clinging to my neck first day of mommy/me class with Ms. Rosi, to 4 weeks later, letting teacher take her 2 feet under water and propel her underwater for 3-4 seconds, while kicking. Is starting to do breaststroke moves and put arm/leg actions together. Also, prior to or just after your class or lesson, they allow 15 minutes of "play" time in a 2.5 feet shallow section of pool with many toys bobbing on top of water and on floor of pool, which inspires little ones to dunk their OWN head to get the object. HIGHLY recommend it. Am now taking lessons twice a week my daughter loves it so much. Just went to Kauai for a week, and other folks at hotel were amazed at her skills and saying the "future Olympic swimmer" b/c she is so water savvy now and -- almost -- swimming solo.

I did Mommy & Me swim classes here with my 8 month old along with a few Mommy friends and their infants. The pool is wonderfully warm (93 degrees) and was a pleasure to get into on a winter morning (it's indoor). The teachers varied a little bit (some were terrific, some just ok) but the school is very flexible in scheduling make-up classes if you miss one. The price was reasonable and the location is right off of the freeway. We had a great time here!
